This weekend is all about space – you’ll be led through a combination of steady vinyasa, grounding restorative practices, and pranayama techniques to keep your feet rooted and your heart open in the winter months. In your down time take a walk through the farmhouse fields and explore the nearby town of Picton. When you’re done, snuggle up by the fire with a hot tea and heart-warming company.

SÅANA Farmhouse is located in Prince Edward County (PEC) – a short drive or bike ride from the community of Picton, along the eastern part of Lake Ontario. PEC is home to Sandbanks Provincial Park, a unique variety of flora and fauna, and a bustling arts & cultural community. The area boasts many highly acclaimed wineries, breweries, and cider houses – and, in recent years has attracted the likes of The Drake Hotel and The June Motel. Tourism in PEC is attracting and re-attracting travelers from Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Upstate New York. With its beautiful beaches, lively culture, and pristine views of nature – PEC has a year-long charm – which makes the it the perfect getaway from busy city life.
The SÅANA Farmhouse property is located on County Road 7, Picton ON. It spans over 12.5 acres of pristine farm and wooded land with nearly 450 feet of water. The beautiful topography is ideal for exploration by curious travelers who are seeking a nature retreat.
SÅANA Farmhouse boasts a beautifully maintained 8-bedroom home that has been thoroughly renovated while maintaining its original rustic charm. With dedicated practice rooms and a barn with a heated yoga studio, SÅANA Farmhouse is the perfect space to take pause – deepen your movement and breath- and get to know yourself a little better.
We believe in building in open time on our retreats for rest and exploration so that you canget the most out of your city break. Our team will prepare a variety of guided activities for you to explore your practice– and PEC – at your leisure.
All SÅANA farmhouse weekend retreats will run Friday – Sunday. Arrival on Friday at 6PM | Departure on Sunday 10AM
Each day will include yoga & movement sessions on: Friday evening | Saturday morning & afternoon | Sunday morning.
Offerings & activites for each retreat will vary based on season – teacher hosts – and retreat theme. Which, means that you’ll always get to experience something new at each farmhouse getaway.
Our experienced teachers have curated a unique program that is designed to help you develop explore a wide range of healthy habits. This includes proper nutrition, meditation, environmental awareness, good sleep and so forth.
Ride the Greyhound bus to Belleville from Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa or Montreal then taxi, rent, carpool or catch the Deseronto Transit bus on weekdays into PEC. There is no bus service directly into The County from a major city other than Belleville, and no car rental services within The County. The Deseronto Transit bus runs on weekdays between Picton, Bloomfield and Belleville if you need to hitch a ride. Some businesses and organizations arrange shuttle buses within The County to their major events or during special events.
Once you’re here, one way to get around is by car. This can be your own, a rental or with a hired tour operator. Things to note: go easy on the rural roads, know you have the right of way coming up the town hill and always watch for cyclists, stray sheep and turtles.
Another easy way to get around is by bike. Feel free to bring your own – or rent one fromCounty Bike Rentals. The farmhouse is approx. a 45–minute bike ride into Picton – feel free to explore the surrounding area by bike on your own personal nature excursion. Things to note:many of the rural roads are gravel – so take care when riding. Please watch for cards.
Bordered by Lake Ontario, the Murray Canal and the Bay of Quinte, Prince Edward County is just a ride away from the Thousand Islands, Rideau Canal and Trent-Severn Waterway system.There are 10 locations that can provide boat launching, docking, and/or marina services. The free Glenora Ferry connects Prince Edward County to Ontario via the Loyalist Parkway.
PEC is driving distance from four main airports: Toronto Pearson International, Ottawa International, Kingston Airport and Montreal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport. we’re just a few hours’ drive from wherever you land. We also have our own local strip to land a personal plane (with prior permission) at Picton Airport .
A note on COVID:
SÅANA farmhouse commits to the following measures to ensure the safest (and most enjoyable) retreat experience while COVID restructions are in place:
- All retreats will run at a reduced capacity to ensure adequate social distancing space inside the farmhouse
- Responsibly spaced out practice and eating areas
- Opportunity for outdoor practice and activities
- Sanitization stations and wipes will be available at high touch points throughout the farmhouse
- Heightened cleaning procedures have been put in place
- Required electronic COVID-19 self-assessment for attendees & teachers, completed 48-hours prior to retreat
- All SÅANA retreat participants & teachers are required to adhere to current government regulations with regards to wearing masks
Payments & Cancellations:
SÅANA Farmhouse retreat bookings are non-refundable. In case of emergency – up to 14 days prior to retreat date – bookings can be transferred to a future scheduled SÅANA farmhouse retreat, pending room availability. After this time, payment is non-transferable and non-refundable. SÅANA is not responsible for events out of management’s direct control, including weather related events and health crises.
